  1. For me, the stand out track is definately Repulsion. This works so well as a purely acoustic number. That song alone is worth the price of the CD. All in all this a solid live album. It's definately not as easily accessible as say Nirvana Unplugged, so this album might be better suited for more hardcore Dinosaur Jr/J. Mascis fans/5(10).

  5. I had this album in the '80s when it came out but never played it much. I played the 12" more but I sold 'em both way back. I bought the CD yesterday as I saw it cheap. It's improved with age I think. Putting that minute of silence as the second track is a strange idea. Unsettling. Like the other guy said - there is a Faust vibe to the record.

  7. Their one constant was the scalp-fryingly loud guitar and deeply buried vocals of J Mascis. + Loser pressing on clear vinyl with a purple swirl. A couple of years before they ended their reign, J cut a solo album called Martin + Me. Recorded live and acoustic, the record allowed the bones of J's songs to be totally visible for the first time.
